BLoomberg | These 12 Unforgettable Wines AreAbout Way More Than Quality
2019 Purple Air Comes From The East
I’m fascinated by the future of wine in China, so I eagerly caught
up on the latest in New York with trailblazing Austrian winemaker
Lenz Moser. He collaborates with Changyu, the country’s biggest
wine producer, at Changyu Moser XV in Ningxia. This ambitious
100% cabernet sauvignon, named for a Chinese proverb, is his
version of an icon wine. The rare second vintage is big, generous
and rich with minty-fruity aromas and a core of beautiful fruit, but
also very, very oaky. It’s a first step in what’s to come.
