Changyu’s 130th Anniversary: Pioneer of Chinese Wine

#Repost @winesningxia・・・Changyu is celebrating its 130th birthday this year. Founded in 1892 in coastal Shandong province by Zhang Bishi, Changyu is the largest wine producer in China, with operations across the country. That includes in Ningxia, where the picturesque Changyu Moser XV officially opened in 2013 just outside the regional capital of Yinchuan.Visitors enter via the main gate, then saunter through the sprawling grounds, complete with extensive water fountains, and into the main building, which features a wine museum, cellar, tasting room, video room, retail area and more. A bit further on is the winery. The focus is not only on the China market but also overseas, with Changyu Moser XV officially launching its wines internationally in 2017. The Moser in the winery’s name refers to Lenz Moser, an Austrian winemaker and businessman who has relentlessly promoted Changyu's wines around the planet these past few years.Look for more posts during 2022 as Changyu continues to celebrate its 130th birthday.(Photo: Changyu’s official Facebook page.)#ningxia #ningxiawines #宁夏 #宁夏麓葡萄 #changyu #changyumoserxv #winehistory #chinawinehistory #helanmountain #helanshan #贺兰山 #ningxiawine #chinesewine #中国葡萄酒 #purpledream
