Review of Changyu-Moser XV Blanc de Noir, praised for its refinement.

And my helpless companions that I've blinded have also been left speechless by its refinement.'18 @changyumoserxv Blanc de Noir: Made from unmacerated free-run juice from Cabernet Sauvignon, the luster is an amber (at times rose) gold more typically associated with luxury precious metal. Aromas are almost ineffable: After three attempts the best I can come up with are hibiscus, stone, not quite ripe tropical fruit, wood. There's a familiarity and purity, yet words fail me. The more than moderate body is a glittering bauble of freshness and elegance - I am embarrassed for my preconceived notions. With tannins below the middle mark, it's for the ring of average acids to add a fine filigree of tautness and structure to the pink grapefruit (but no bitterness) and faded strawberry. Linear, refreshingly crisp, and a glimmering fade of flavours. 13.5% abv. If only all orange wine taste like this.Per DecanterChina.com: "The warm continental climate, on the edge of a desert and shielded to the west by mountains, lacks rainfall. The vines absorb all 3000 sunshine hours and irrigation is vital to keep them alive. Ripeness is relatively easy to achieve, even at the winery’s 1100 metre altitude."...#wine #vino #winelover #winetasting #winetime #wineporn #instawine #sommlife #winerylovers #ワイン #와인 #红酒 #luxury #foodie #foodporn #foodstagram #sgfood #sgfoodies #travel #holiday #trip #latergram #followme #nicersideoflife #insidescoop
